Blue Valley Wealth Management was built on a simple belief:
More success shouldn’t mean more stress.
We exist to help business owners, ESOP shareholders, and families simplify complex financial lives and make confident decisions across every stage of wealth — from building and growing, to protecting and eventually transitioning what they’ve created.
For employee-owners, that includes navigating a complicated stock ownership plan — understanding the rules, timelines, and choices that shape how and when their hard-earned equity can turn into wealth.
Our approach is thoughtful, relationship-driven, and deeply planning-first. That means we don’t lead with products or quick fixes. We start with understanding — your goals, your values, your business, your family, and the trade-offs you’re navigating. From there, we design coordinated strategies that help bring clarity across investments, taxes, retirement, business planning, and legacy.
At Blue Valley Wealth, we believe advice should feel:
- Clear, not overwhelming
- Proactive, not reactive
- Personalized, not packaged
You won’t find one-size-fits-all portfolios or cookie-cutter plans here. You’ll find an ally who thinks like an owner, provides clear communication, and stays engaged as your life and business evolve.
That philosophy is personal to me — and it’s shaped by the path that brought me here.
My Story
I’ve spent more than two decades in the financial industry helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident decisions about their money—decisions that support not just where they are today, but the life they want to build over time. My work is rooted in clarity and strategy, and in a belief shaped by experience: planning isn’t just about optimizing for the expected—it’s about being prepared for the unplanned.
That belief isn’t theoretical. Life has a way of clarifying priorities, sometimes abruptly. Living through a life-threatening injury reshaped my perspective on risk, resilience, and planning—showing me that even when you think you’re on track, life can shift in an instant. I understand that financial decisions are rarely just about numbers; they’re about security, independence and family. I approach wealth management through a comprehensive financial planning lens. That means integrating retirement planning, investment strategy, estate planning, and tax-aware decision-making into a cohesive plan designed around your goals.
My process is collaborative and educational. I start by listening, then work alongside you to build a strategy that aligns with your values and evolves as your life and priorities change.
I hold a B.S. in Finance from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Rockhurst University. I also hold the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designations. Beyond my practice, I’m deeply committed to the Kansas City community. I currently serve on the boards of Ability KC and the Steps of Faith Foundation, where I previously served as board president. Supporting individuals facing limb loss—and the significant financial burden that often accompanies it—is personal to me, and it’s a reminder of why thoughtful planning matters.
Outside the office, I’m a husband, a dad to two incredible girls, and a proud Kansas Citian—with deep Nebraska roots and lifelong Husker loyalty. I’m a graduate of the University of Nebraska and still bleed red on fall Saturdays. In my free time, you’ll usually find me lifting heavy things, enjoying live music, and driving back and forth to dance class. At home, we also have two dogs and two cats—none of which I ever explicitly approved—adding just the right amount of chaos and humor to daily life. Life is full, imperfect, and meaningful, and your financial plan should support all of it.
